(1) The main stretch of the island is divided into 3 stations called Boat Stations 1, 2, 3. You will not notice any separation between all 3 stations when you are walking on the beach so it is best to think of them as north (Station 1), middle (Station 2), and south (Station 3).

Boat Station 1

Station 1 has the best and finest stretch of white sand on the entire island. It is a lot quieter than the Stations 2 and 3 as most high-end hotels occupy this area.

Boat Station 2

Station 2 is the central point of the island where majority of mid-range hotels are located. It can be become quite crowded at times especially during sunset as most cafes, restaurants, and bars are in this area.

Boat Station 3

Station 3 is where you will find all the budget and backpacker hotels so you can expect foot traffic to be quite heavy on this part of the stretch.

Boat Station 0*

Station 0 is located on Punta Bunga Beach and is home to bigger luxury resorts such as Shangri-La, Crimson and Mövenpick. As a head's up, you will need to take a shuttle or an e-trike to get to the main stretch of the island and back.

(2) Most hotels provide complimentary shuttles for guests to the other stations but if yours does not, you can actually get around by flagging down an e-trike from the road.

(3) Major credit cards are widely accepted at restaurants and cafes and there are also many ATMs on the island. Depending on the bank, the maximum withdrawal at one time is PHP 10,000.00 to PHP 20,000 per day / SEK 1,905 to SEK 3,810 / SGD 240 to SGD 480 approx.

(4) While Boracay is safe, it still pays to be attentive and careful of your valuables. Most resorts have safety deposit boxes for valuables and 24/7 security guards.

(5) Tap water in The Philippines is not considered safe to drink so be sure to ask for filtered water. When in doubt, we recommend purchasing a bottle of water instead.

(6) The Philippines operates on a 220V supply voltage and 60Hz so make sure to pack a Type A (North American standard) adapter with two flat parallel pins.

(7) Wifi is generally slower in The Philippines but hey, it's there.

(8) Temperatures are the highest from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM so we recommend planning activities around the hours to avoid any sunburns!

(9) Starbucks, McDonald's, and KFC are all available on the island.
